History of Barangay Badiangon

Barangay Badiangon named after Datu Ladayon, a Manobo leader during 1950’s. this Barangay was once a Sitio of Barangay Makalangot under the Municipality of Kidapawan and later a Barangay of Municipality of Magpet. It became a Barangay of Arakan, the newly created Municipality pursuant to the approval of Republic Act 7152 in 1991.
Datu Bayangon was the first Chieftain of Barangay Badiangon. The folks lived a very simple life. They engaged in Farming (slash and burn) planting rice and root crops. Hunting is their also their other way of living. Together, they raised horses and their means of transportation, at the same time, their animal for hauling farm products to be bartered in the market.
